Almond Protein Doughnuts

There is nothing NUT BUTTER 🥜 and DOUGHNUTS 🍩 can’t fix!

Bringing you all the Friday Food Feels 🤩 today with this perfect pairing of the NEW, just released Revol Snax flavored nut butter and one my favorite almond flour doughnut recipes.

Although I could eat it this nut butter right out of jar, I decided to top off these almond, protein doughnuts for some added sweetness. Here’s the extremely easy recipe:

Ingredients:

2 eggs

3 tbsp honey

1 cup almond flour

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp baking soda

1 scoop protein powder flavor of choice (I used peanut butter protein powder for this batch)

1/4 cup almond milk

Directions:

  1. Mix it all up and pour into greased doughnut trays

2. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes

3. Let cool then cover with your favorite topping

The whole process from start to finish takes 20 minutes. Enjoy and let me know if you try either of  them!

Cinnamon No Bake Protein Bites

Cinnamon No Bake Protein Bites

I’m heading out of town for a few days, so I whipped up these super easy, travel-friendly bites. Personally, I’m a huge fan of cinnamon…I sprinkle it on everything! So of course I had to put together a recipe that included my favorites. This definitely won’t disappoint! They’re healthy, delish, great for snacks on the go and kid-approved!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup oats

1/4 cup @1stphorm Level-1 Cinnamon Protein Powder

1/2 cup almond flour

1 Tbsp cinnamon

1/4 cup nut butter (I use @professornutz)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup honey

Directions:

Mix up oats, protein powder, almond flour, cinnamon and nut butter. You can use food processor but, personally I just mix with my hands.

Add in honey and vanilla and mix again with hands (add more honey if batter is too dry to form balls)

Roll into 1-1.5 inch balls and place on a cookie tray with parchment paper

Place in freezer for 30 minutes then transfer to storage container

If you REALLY love cinnamon you can sprinkle additional on top

Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

I’m extremely grateful for the beautiful weather we’ve been experiencing here in FL…sipping on this Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, infused with berry flavor and blended with my favorite Zulay Kitchen Milk Boss electric frother. I use this frother every morning to quickly and easily blend my protein shakes but, as you can see it’s versatility comes in handy for so many recipes!

Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte

In addition to the yummy taste (and I am normally not a tea or coffee drinker). Matcha has some incredible benefits, especially for women.

1. It’s loaded with antioxidants
2. You’ll get more energy than you would from other teas
3. You won’t feel as jittery as you would from a cup of coffee
4. It can help in making you significantly more productive
5. It may promote healthier cholesterol levels
6. It can strengthen your bones
7. It can be more filling than a cup of coffee or brewed tea
8. May help protect the liver
9. Boosts brain function
10. May promote heart health
11. Helps you lose weight

Ingredients: 1 heaping teaspoon matcha powder 3/4 cup almond or coconut milk 1/4 cup hot water 3 sliced strawberries Honey or agave to taste if you want to sweeten (I don’t generally use any) Directions: 1 Heat pan and bring milk to simmer. Froth the milk using the @zulaykitchen Milk Boss frother. 2. Bring water to a boil then let sit and cool for a few minutes (I just heat water in microwave). 3. In a mug, mix the water with matcha powder until it’s dissolved. 4. Slowly add milk to the mug and stir (I again use the @zulaykitchen frother to mix) 5. Add lots of ice and if you want to sweeten add honey or agave to taste
